The Lord is The God of the “Second Chance”… we are fast-approaching the end of the additional 30 days (May 7th) God graciously gives to honor Him with your Commanded Passover offering. Perhaps the uncertain times we are experiencing in our personal lives as well as a nation caused you to miss honoring God as scripture states; whatever the reason, God in His mercy and grace gives His people a ‘second chance’… according to God’s word (Numbers 9:6-14) to honor The God of the “Second Chance,” for His Commanded Passover offering!

Numbers 9:6-14, “And there were certain men, who were defiled, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day: And those men said unto him, We are defiled; wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the Lord in his appointed season among the children of Israel? And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the Lord. The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs…according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it. But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the Lord in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the Lord; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance…”

A “Second Chance”…Maybe we were ‘defiled’ that we could not keep the Passover at that time (failed to heed the commandment), maybe we were kept back from offering the Passover in the ‘appointed season’ due to circumstances… God says to Moses: “Hey, these couldn’t because they were unavailable to give at that appointed season; they were traveling; they forgot; but…they have till the 14th day of the SECOND MONTH (30 days later) to keep all the ordinances of this first important annual feast to God (He says, ’I want everyone to participate so I can release the blessings of Exodus 23-they all still apply’)…“but if a man/woman STILL FORBEARS to keep the Passover, he shall be cut off (broken fellowship with me) -All should keep the Passover. I am the God of the Second Chance!

This is the only commanded offering that God gives an additional 30 days to obey the commandments and honor Him!

The Passover:

In Exodus 12:13 God declared: “Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

In Hebrew, Passover literally means “protection,” and it comes from the specific instructions given by God to those marked with the blood of an innocent lamb. THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD OF GOD’S OWN LAMB-JESUS CHRIST!!!

During Passover, the Israelites had to take a lamb, they had to give a sacrifice. They had to put the blood upon the door post which was so important— because that final plague, the death angel would “pass over”… The word “Passover” doesn’t just mean “to pass over”, but it literally means “to protect.” Isn’t it interesting that during this time we are in we just happen to be honoring God’s commanded Feast of Passover??

God has angels that will protect you. Protect you from sickness, from destruction, from poverty, from your enemies… the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, but because Jesus became our Passover lamb— we celebrate and honor Him RIGHT NOW, but we’re also applying it! It takes faith and when we start living by faith, we walk in God’s Word. It’s all about obedience. And that’s when the angels are released!!!
