Under His Wings You Will Find Refuge! PSALM 91 says,

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 91 was written to bring comfort to the church while in the wilderness… God is saying, “I am God no matter what crisis you are facing!”
Right now I want to talk to you about breaking the spirit of fear. First we know God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power, and of a sound mind. And then we love God, we’re Christians, you have to understand how the enemy operates. He always wants to cancel your faith because “the just shall live by faith.”
Timothy tells us to fight the good fight of faith. The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 11, verse six, that without faith, it is impossible to please God. And that doesn’t mean “God, are you pleased with me?” but it means to be fully agreeable with God.

We have to stand in faith in order to see God’s word, His promises, come to pass in our life. So what does the enemy want to do? He wants do destroy your faith. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Now God makes himself synonymous with the word- “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” So why does he want your faith?? Because if the enemy can stop your faith, then he can get you into a place called doubt. Doubt is where you start wavering. And that’s where you have no motion, no movement. And then ultimately, he wants to get you to a place of unbelief, which is a disposition of rebellion against God. So fear paralyzes and cancels your faith.
Right now, quite honestly, there’s a lot of things happening in our world, maybe in your individual life, that could cause you to be fearful. I went through a situation myself just recently, maybe it’s the economy, maybe it’s the coronavirus, maybe it’s division, maybe it’s the global impact. Maybe it’s a personal situation in your family, or you don’t know the condition of your marriage or. Or maybe you don’t know if you’re going to make it or you just got laid off, or the doctor gave you a report, but the enemy’s ultimate job is to bring fear to you.

It is a spirit of terrorism. The Bible clearly says, in Psalm 91, that you will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day. All fear comes out of terror, because it’s a spirit of terrorism and it’s a spiritual battle…Terrorism is to have intense fear, or an exaggerated fear. It can almost feel like the world coming to an end… Because the perception becomes so real.
This is where people become so hopeless and helpless, that sometimes they take their life. Sometimes they just feel like life is not worth living. It’s a real thing that happens. But God says, You will not fear the terror of night. In the natural we think- how am I going to be able to pay my mortgage? Am I going to end up homeless? How am I going to make it out of this sudden danger, unexpected health crisis, a global crisis? There’s anxiety. The Bible tells us be anxious for nothing.
Your only help is in the Word of God. These are all fears that the enemy wants implanted in our heart. Psalm 91 says to you, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High God, shall rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” I want you to hear the word- He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, whom I trust. Surely I will save you from the fowler, the snare, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness will be your shield and rampant. You will not fear the terror by night… nor the pestilence, 1000 will fall at your side and 10,000 at your right hand, but it will not come nigh thee…
If you are experiencing that fear of the enemy trying to get you out of faith- One of the greatest things you do first off is pray. We come in agreement with prayer, so please send us your prayer request. We will pray with you here at Fortune Int’l Ministries.
