1. Lord, teach us the true meaning of submission in marriage. That is starts with submitting to You

2. Lord, we relinquish control of our marriage and let You have Your way and reign even when we don’t understand fully what You are doing

3. Lord, we submit our emotions to You. We will not let our emotions dictate our actions but rather our desire to please You

4. We submit our tongues to You. When we are about to speak to each other something that will hurt the other and grieve the Holy Spirit, hold our tongue

5. We submit our eyes and interactions to You. Keep us from falling into temptations and looking outside the marriage

6. We submit our anger to You. In our anger, keep us from reacting with the flesh

7. We submit our plans to You. We may make our plans but You have the last word

8. We submit our children to You. We are just but stewards, they belong to You. Teach us to raise them well

9. We submit our ego to You. Keep us humble to receive discipline and rebuke from You, and correction from each other

10. We submit our will to You. Let Your will be done, in our marriage as it is in Heaven

11. We submit our self-interests and submit to each other as unto the Lord

Keep us grounded in You oh Lord. More than being accountable to each other, we are accountable to You
